Wizards familyNow retired, Ann was a Special Ed. teacher in the Atlanta Public School system. Education in Georgia is in a state of  transition these days with much political manipulation from the Governor's Office. He means well, and there is lots of room for improvement... but when politicians drive a political solution, absent any input from senior administrators who are by-passed in the process, and who themselves are not much in touch with the realities of the classroom... well, you get the picture.

Sammy, our 14 year old cocker spaniel, passed away in October, 2002.

The BoysOops! Into the archives of several years ago for this one. Brian, Gordon, The Wizard.

Barbara                                 Mother

Peter has a thriving communications and PR firm in Vancouver. Sue has taken over as the primary care-giver for Mother who now has her own apartment suite in Vancouver. Previously, Peter had executive positions with Burson-Marstellar in Vancouver, Belfast and London. Mom and Dad spent their career time in Alberta, retired to Victoria, then Mom moved to Vancouver after Dad died.

Barbara is a teacher by profession but has recently "headed for the hills" - Boulder CO specifically - to train as a contemplative psychologist.

The cousinsMost of the cousins. Taken in Vancouver September, 2000 at Meyrick and Sacha's wedding. That's Grouse Mountain in the background.

Brian [David] lives in Vancouver and is a flight engineer working to become a first officer with Kelowna Aviation, flying B727s.

Alexia [Barbara] is maybe the most traveled, with several extended trips to Europe, Africa, Nepal, China, Australia, Toronto and now at Dalhouse University in Halifax.

Meyrick [Peter] and Sacha were married in September, 2000. A businessman in Vancouver and Whistler, Meyrick has not only lived in Belfast and London, but traveled extensively throughout the Pacific regions.

Ian [Barbara] has the musical talent and has graduated from Toronto's Humber College as a jazz percussionist.

Ian joined Meyrick and his buddies on one of their trips, and that whole group made a side trip to Katmandu, Nepal to meet Alexia. It seemed to set the civil strife in Nepal back by several months, but it has unfortunately resumed. What has been admitted about the trip sounds like a great party!

Missing from this photo are two cousins:

Rian [Peter] is a Project Manager who has relocated from Vancouver to Toronto. Sailing on Lake Ontario will be a bit different than cruising the Straight of Georgia, Rian! Don't know why Rian didn't get into this pic. - guess she was busy with bridal party duties.

Gordon [David] couldn't get out for the wedding due to a course. He lives in Calgary and is an avid outdoorsman in addition to working and being a part-time student. His artistic talent has been a help and if the Kingdom ever gets a graphics wizard it'll be Gord!

Although usually separated by thousands of miles, if not continents and oceans, the Internet plays an increasing role in keeping us in touch. We even get email regularly from places like Katmandu and Khartoum!
